Wear- Back Long Sweep Elbows
In highly abrasive applications, we offer several designs/options of wear-resistant extended-life elbows. All are designed for extending the life of your elbow; choice of design should be based upon customer preference and application experience with a given design. The basic concept is, once the core elbow has worn through, the cavity fills with the abrasive material and wears against itself, therefore, extending the life of the component.
1) Wear- Back Long Sweep Elbows—Unfilled-- once the core elbow has worn through, the cavity fills with the abrasive material and wears against itself
2) Wear- Back Long Sweep Elbows—Filled-- the core or cavity of the Elbow is filled with the A) Concrete or B) Porcelain
3) Removable Wear- Back Long Sweep Elbows— once the core elbow has worn through, the cavity fills with the abrasive material and wears against itself. The bolt on replaceable wear-back plate can then be replaced after long use.
