EQUALIZER RM rotary positive blowers offer many distinct advantages when compared to other brands:
Helical Gearing
EQUALIZER blowers are timed with hardened, precision helical gears, keyed to the rotor shafts. Helical gearing reduces backlash and mechanical noise as compared to spur gears offered by other manufacturers. Keyed interference fit reduces the risk of slippage of the gear on the shaft and loss of timing, one of the leading causes of blower failure.
One Piece Housing
Every EQUALIZER blower includes a housing constructed of a single piece of precision machined cast iron, rather than a two piece housing which is subject to misalignment and loss of operating clearances.
Rotors with Integral Shafts
EQUALIZER blowers include precision machined and dynamically balanced ductile iron rotors with large, integrally cast shafts to provide a single unitized rotor to prevent rotor clash as a result of the impeller moving on its shaft.
Positive End Clearances
End clearances are positively established at the blower gear end, eliminating the risk of shifting end clearances. End clearances are not “floating”, and allowing incidental contact between rotors and end plates. “Floating” end clearances can result in unnecessary rotor and end plate wear, shortening overall blower life.

Higher Pressure Capability Due to the high degree of precision to which EQUALIZER DF blowers are manufactured, most EQUALIZER DF models are rated to 18 PSIG discharge pressure. This provides you with an increased level of security since your EQUALIZER DF blower has more safety factor already built in.
Designed for True, Drop-in Replacement The last thing you need is an “interchangeable” blower that really isn’t. EQUALIZER DF blowers are designed to be dimensionally interchangeable with Duroflow competing models, even to the point of matching the port connector bolt patterns.

COMPETITOR PLUS rotary blowers are designed to be interchangeable with equivalent sizes of Roots Universal RAI®, and many Sutorbilt® California Series B and F, and Legend™ Series L and P blowers. COMPETITOR PLUS models are rated up to 15 PSIG discharge pressure or 16” Hg dry vacuum. In addition to interchangeability, Tuthill Vacuum & Blower Systems has improved on existing designs with the following superior features ordinarily found only on premium blowers:

Stronger Bearings All COMPETITOR PLUS blowers include double row ball bearings at the gear end, stronger than single row ball bearings offered by other manufacturers. Drive shaft bearing is cylindrical roller type for additional strength against side loading from V-belt drives. As a result of this superior design, COMPETITOR PLUS blowers offer design bearing life as much as 50% greater than models offered by other manufacturers.

Splash Oil Lubrication at Both Ends COMPETITOR SL blowers include splash oil lubrication at both the gear end and drive end of the blower. Splash lubrication provides for longer bearing and seal life through improved heat dissipation versus grease lubrication.
Revolutionary Noise Reduction Technology Many sizes of COMPETITOR SL blowers are available with Tuthill’s unique noise reduction technology with tri-lobe rotors specially designed for maximum displacement and special porting on the discharge side to significantly reduce noise.
